Alexis started crawling today! She made it just a few inches before she fell, but got right back up on her hands and knees rocking back and forth! I can't believe my baby girl is crawling! It's been a big week! Tim turns 5 tomorrow, Ben turned 2 yesterday and Alexis crawled today. I'm so thankful I was home to see it! YAY for Christmas break!

Happy Birthday Boys!
This weekend we had a small family party to celebrate Tim's 5th birthday and Ben's 2nd birthday. We had a great time! The boys loved having all of their grandmas, grandpas, aunts, and uncles over to play. The highlight for them both was blowing out candles and eating cake!

I can hardly believe Tim will be 5 on Wednesday! It seems like yesterday we were anxiously awaiting his arrival. He's made some big strides this year. He loves going to Messiah's 4 year old preschool program (Thank you Ms. Mary and Ms. Carol! You guys are the best!). He's learning his letters and sounds, counting (but doesn't seem to like the number 15 as he always skips it!) and can write his name. He loves playing with trains of any type - wooden trains, thomas trains, geotrains, model trains, he loves them all!
Our little Benjamin is growing up quickly, too. He's speaking in full sentences most of the time, something I certainly attribute to trying to keep up with his big brother. He follows in Tim's footsteps and adores trains of all types. He loves to pretend play with figures and is one of the sweetest kids I know. He loves to snuggle and is quick to give hugs. He's always wearing a smile, too. My parents call him 'jumping boy' or 'tigger' because he jumps everywhere! He'll hop across the house just for fun. He's never short on energy :)
Happy birthday to my two fantastic boys. Mommy and Daddy love you!

Merry Christmas!
Blessings to you and yours! Our family was blessed with a wonderful Christmas. We started our Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve by attending candlelight worship. While at church, Santa came to our house! He looked all around and saw that the kiddos weren't sleeping, so he left them some special pajamas to help them sleep. Sure enough, his pajamas worked like a charm and they fell fast asleep!
Christmas morning came quickly (6:15 am!) and Joe and I were soon greeted by Tim telling us Santa had arrived and left presents. We were surprised to see we had a white Christmas after all! We had just a dusting of snow by the time we got up. Tim was quite convinced before reading the tags on the gifts that all of the presents were for him :) He was able to read all of the tags and sort all of the presents this year! We were very proud of him! The kids spent the morning opening gifts and enjoying their time at home before we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Koenig's house.
Once we were packed up and ready to leave we pulled out of the garage to very slippery streets. On the way we saw several cars off the road. Joe's careful driving and God's protection got us to Jim and Carol's house safely. We enjoyed a wonderful meal and then we exchanged gifts. Afterward, Tim and Ben enjoyed playing GeoTrains while Joe and Andy played wii. Soon it was time to head to Grandma and Grandpa Adams' house.
We were happy to see that the roads had been cleared and were safe to drive on. We stopped at home, unloaded and headed out. Just a few miles down the road I realized we hadn't loaded the car - we forgot all of our gifts to give our family! We quickly turned around, loaded up, and went on our way.
Uncle Derick and Aunt Kate had already arrived. The kids couldn't wait to open yet another set of gifts! So, off we went and enjoyed yet another gift exchange. Once we finished we enjoyed another wonderful meal. The kids enjoyed playing with their new toys and with their Aunt and Uncle.
While a busy day, it was a wonderful day. We were thankful to be able to spend it with both sides of our family. Thank you to everyone who made our Christmas wonderful!

6 Months Old!

Our sweet baby girl is 6 months old! I can't quite believe it. She's growing up so fast! It seems everyday she is discovering or learning something new. She loves to play on her play mat and with toys that make sounds. While she isn't crawling just yet, she sure is trying! She can get up onto her hands and knees, she just can't figure out how to move. She loves to 'airplane' and roll over. Her latest trick is getting her toes to her mouth. She is working on her bottom two teeth and chewing on everything she can.
This week while I was off for Christmas break I took some pictures to mark her 6 month birthday. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use the new tutu Auntie Erin gave us. Thanks Erin!
